In Fall 2022, I created a series called “The Vessel Project”, where I interviewed fellow students of Howard University and asked them thought-provoking questions. Throughout these three installments, I asked students, 

"What is your vessel for creativity?" 

“What is your vessel for love?” 

“What is your vessel for freedom?”  

There is an important value in African philosophy called “ubuntu”, which translates to “I am because we are”. I feel that the arts are deft in creating unity and alleviating bigotry, which is a perfect example of the ubuntu principle being practiced in Western society.
